Upcoming improvements

For the near future we have the following plans to improve the openOBD project.

Automechanika 2024

We are present at the Automechanika 2024 at Stand 9.0 C65. Here we will present our first version of openOBD to the audience. The first version supports CAN communication, user interface interaction and connection health monitoring.

K-line ISO14230

We would like to add support for K-Line ISO14230 with both slow and fast initialization. The infrastructure supports this communication protocol. We need to make the defintions and link it in the openOBD stack.

DoIP

Currently, one part of our development team is working an DoIP support. When we have a general way of addressing DoIP we will add this as well to the stack.

User interface translations

We want to add the possibility to provide your openOBD sessions with a predefined set of translation labels in order to provide the end user with the right language.
